Getting here

Your journey to the Seiser Alm

We look forward to welcoming you to the Hotel Monte Piz. To ensure your arrival is as relaxing as the rest of your holiday, we have put together all the important information for you here.

Your room will be ready for you from 4.00 pm. As our guests check out by 10.00 am, we are unfortunately unable to guarantee earlier check-in.

It takes around 60 minutes by car to reach us from both Bolzano and Bressanone.

Simply enter ‘Hotel Monte Piz’ into your sat-nav, or use the following link to find our exact location:

Free parking is available at our hotel.

The Seiser Alm is one of the largest alpine meadows in Europe and is therefore protected from private motor vehicle traffic. As our guest, you will receive an access permit. Here’s how it works:

If you arrive by 5.00 pm, please stop briefly at the St. Valentin Info Point and show your booking confirmation to receive your permit to drive up to the Seiser Alm.

Tip: To ensure things go particularly smoothly at the barrier, we’d be happy to send you the access permit before your arrival. Simply provide us with the following details:

  • Name of the vehicle owner
  • Make of the vehicle
  • Registration number
  • On the day of arrival and departure, you can drive up to or down from the Seiser Alm at any time.
  • During your stay, the route between the hotel and Compatsch is only open to private vehicles before 10.00 and after 17.00. Between 10.00 and 17.00, the Seiser Alm is car-free.

The nearest railway stations are Brixen and Bolzano. From there, a reliable local taxi company will take you comfortably right to our doorstep. We’ll be happy to provide you with their contact details in your booking confirmation.

It’s also possible to travel by public transport. It’s best to enquire about the latest connections directly with us, as timetables change depending on the season.
