Kastelruth – UNESCO World Natural Heritage

Kastelruth is the main village of the Seiser Alm holiday region and enchants visitors with its charming historic center. A village full of character and culinary variety. It is also the hometown of the famous folk music group, the Kastelruther Spatzen. Several times a year, the village hosts concerts featuring popular folk music stars.

Once a week, the traditional weekly market takes place in the village square.

Tour on the Puflatsch/Seiser Alm

With the extraordinary profile of the Schlern mountain, the Seiser Alm is one of the most fascinating landscapes in the Dolomites and one of the most famous hiking and winter sports areas in Europe. Numerous legends and sagas about witches and other creatures that are said to have afflicted this area give the largest high alpine pasture in Europe a magical touch.

To the peak of the Plattkofel

The Plattkofel is the only summit of the Langkofel group which can be tackled with success by inexperienced climbers. The ascent does, however, require a good level of physical fitness and, above all, surefootedness when you get to the summit ridge. The scene which awaits at the ridge is more than ample compensation for the ascent, as your view sweeps down to the Plattkofel cirque, over the Seiser Alm and on to the Vinschgau/Ötztal and Ortler Alps.
